Nearly everyone shopping away from Netus AI is doing it for the same reason: the credit pool. One shared balance funds the rewriter, the summariser, the article generator and the email tools, so a few long articles can quietly empty the month. If that is your problem, the fix is either a word-metered tool or a flat-rate one. Here are both, verified.
Backed by /api/tools/score. Without an account you get 3 checks a day, pooled across the AI Detector and Document Detector, with a 1,000 word cap. Signing up free lifts that to 60 checks a day at 5,000 words with history. Starter accounts get 200 a day; Pro and above are unlimited. Minimum input 25 words. A score below 30 reads as likely human-written, 30 to 69 as mixed signals, and 70 or higher as likely AI-generated.

Three things about Netus AI are genuinely hard to replace, and if any of them describes you, switching is probably a downgrade.
The free plan does not expire. Netus AI publishes a $0 tier with 50 credits per month, and it lists "AI Detector - unlimited usage" on that free tier alongside 500 rewriter words, 500 paraphraser words, 500 summariser words and 50 readability analyses per month (netus.ai/pricing, checked 16 August 2026). Most rivals give you a one-time trial instead. A recurring monthly allowance you never pay for is a different proposition, and for light users it may be all you need forever.
Language coverage. Every Netus AI plan, free included, lists "36 languages support" (netus.ai/pricing, checked 16 August 2026). Our own detector at TextSight is English-only. It runs an ensemble of DeBERTa, RoBERTa and ELECTRA, and it carries a documented false-positive bias against people who learned English as a second language. If you write in Polish, Vietnamese, Bengali or any of the other languages Netus AI lists, that coverage is a real advantage over us and we will not pretend otherwise.
Breadth for the money at the top end. Netus AI's homepage lists 18 tools spanning rewriting, SEO article generation, keyword extraction, YouTube titles and descriptions, email writing, cover letters and a multi-model AI chat (netus.ai, checked 16 August 2026). The Elite plan at $99 per month carries 100,000 credits, which its own page translates to 1,000,000 rewriter words per month (netus.ai/pricing, same date). If you are running content operations at that scale across many formats, unbundling into four subscriptions is likely to cost more and fragment your workflow.
As with any vendor, read the performance claims as claims. Netus AI's homepage states "With over 99% accuracy and AI detection coverage" and a paraphrasing success rate of "99.97%", and says its models were "trained on over 200 million data points" (netus.ai, checked 16 August 2026). Those are the company's own published figures about its own product. No shared public benchmark puts these tools on the same scale, so numbers from different vendors are not comparable to each other, including ours.
This is the part worth understanding before you compare anything. Netus AI's pricing page states the conversion plainly: 1 credit equals 10 words for the rewriter, paraphraser and summariser; 1 credit equals 1 readability analysis; 1 credit equals 5 input words for the keyword extractor; a long SEO article costs 260 credits and a short one 160; an email costs 25 credits, a newsletter 70, a cover letter 70 (netus.ai/pricing, checked 16 August 2026).
So the $14 Basic plan's 1,500 credits is either 15,000 rewritten words, or roughly five long articles, or sixty emails, but not all three. That single pool is the mechanism people are usually reacting to when they go looking for something else.

Stay on Netus AI if you use more than two of its 18 tools in a normal month, or if you need a free tier that renews, or if you work in a language other than English.
Go to GPTinf if rewriting is essentially all you do and you want the meter to count only the words you rewrite, with nothing else drawing from the same balance. Its Unlimited tier at $29.99 per month removes the counter entirely (www.gptinf.com/pricing, checked 16 August 2026).
Go to Smodin if you liked having many tools in one place but want the ceiling raised rather than metered. Smodin's Premium at $19.99 per month, or $16 per month billed annually, lists unlimited writing output plus a Chrome extension and API access (smodin.io/pricing, checked 16 August 2026). Its pricing page also runs a referral offer: refer three people in a month for a free month, with a $5 credit applied at your next billing (same page and date).
Go to Isgen if checking matters more than producing, and especially if you need bulk. Its Academic tier at $8 per month billed annually lists 350,000 detection words, 100 bulk scans, phrase-level analysis and a 60,000 character ceiling per scan (isgen.ai/pricing, checked 16 August 2026). Note that its $15 Writing tier lists the AI Detector as "No", so do not assume higher price means more detection (same page and date).
Go to TextSight if the piece you actually rely on is the check, and you want it metered in a way you can predict. We charge by checks per day, not by a pooled balance that other features can drain.
