TextSight is built to help people write better and review writing fairly — not to deceive or to punish. Here's how we ask you to use it.
TextSight gives you two kinds of help: detecting AI-style patterns in writing, and improving the clarity of drafts. Both are powerful, and both can be misused. This page sets out how we intend them to be used — and asks you to use them the same way.
Our detector estimates the likelihood that text shows patterns associated with AI-generated writing. It is probabilistic, and it is not perfect.
We explain this in full on our AI Detection Limitations page — please read it before acting on a result.
TextSight's rewriting and "humanize" tools are designed to make writing clearer, more readable, and more natural while preserving its meaning. They are a writing aid — like an editor — not a way to deceive.
Some uses are off-limits. Our Acceptable Use Policy has the full list, but in short: no fraud or impersonation, no academic dishonesty or circumventing institutional rules, no spam or fake reviews, no illegal or infringing content, and no abuse of the service or API.
Whether you're checking a document or improving a draft, a person should make the final decision. Read the output, verify facts, and apply your own judgement before you rely on it. AI is a helpful assistant — not a substitute for your own review.
