API terms of use.

API keys

API access requires an API key tied to your account. Keep your keys secret — you're responsible for activity under your keys. If a key is exposed, rotate it from your account and contact us.

Rate limits & fair use

API usage is subject to the rate limits and quotas of your plan. Don't attempt to circumvent limits (for example, by spreading load across many accounts). We may throttle or temporarily block requests that threaten the stability of the service.

Prohibited uses

• No using the API to build a competing AI-detection or humanization service, or to resell raw API output as your own such service, without our written permission.
• No scraping, automated abuse, or excessive load beyond your plan.
• No uses prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy (fraud, deception, academic dishonesty, illegal content, etc.).

Data handling

Data you send to the API is processed to return a result, consistent with our Content Handling Policy and Privacy Policy. If you send us the personal data of your own users, our DPA applies.

Availability

We work to keep the API available and reliable, but it is provided "as is" without an uptime guarantee unless a separate written service-level agreement is in place. We may perform maintenance and may change or deprecate endpoints with reasonable notice.

Changes

We may update the API and these terms as the product evolves. We'll communicate material breaking changes through our documentation and, where possible, in advance.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate API access for violations of these terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or to protect the service and other users.
