Who this covers

This notice applies to people in the European Union, European Economic Area, and United Kingdom whose personal data TextSight processes. It supplements our main Privacy Policy.

Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Lacewing Technologies (operator of TextSight.ai). You can reach our privacy contact at privacy@textsight.ai.

Data we collect

Legal bases for processing

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Free scans are processed transiently and not stored; signed-in scan history is kept until you delete it; account data is deleted when you delete your account (subject to short backup and legal-retention windows). See our Data Retention page for detail.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data; rectify inaccurate data; erase your data ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these, email privacy@textsight.ai — you can also delete saved scans and your account from your settings.

International transfers

Some of our subprocessors are located outside the EEA/UK (see Subprocessors). Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK equivalent) and providers covered by recognised transfer frameworks.

Complaints

If you believe we've mishandled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
