Leaving Smodin is a bigger decision than leaving a single-purpose tool, because one subscription is doing five or six jobs. Before you shop, work out which of those jobs you actually used last month. If it was one or two, unbundling will save money. If it was four, you want another suite, and the honest shortlist is short.

Two arguments for Smodin are strong enough that we would rather you weighed them properly than switched by accident.
Multilingual coverage, and this one matters more than most people realise. Smodin's homepage states "Languages 100+" (smodin.io, checked 16 August 2026), and its site navigation offers the interface in English, Arabic, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian (smodin.io/pricing, checked 16 August 2026). TextSight cannot compete here at all. Our detector is English-only, built on a DeBERTa, RoBERTa and ELECTRA ensemble, and it has a known false-positive bias against writers who learned English as a second language. If your work is not in English, or if you are an ESL writer worried about being wrongly flagged, that is a straightforward reason to stay with a multilingual vendor rather than move to us.
Price per tool at the low end. Smodin's Starter plan is $12.99 per month, or $10 per month billed annually, and its own FAQ describes that tier as including "AI Writer, AI Content Detector, AI Humanizer, Plagiarism Checker, Text Rewriter, Translator, Text Summarizer, and AI Chat" (smodin.io/pricing, checked 16 August 2026). Premium is $19.99 per month, or $16 per month billed annually, and adds unlimited writing output, advanced AI models, the Chrome extension, API access, bulk processing and 24/7 priority support (same page and date). Both plans carry a 20 percent discount on annual billing (same page and date). Buying a detector, a plagiarism checker, a translator and a writer separately will very likely cost more than $19.99 per month.
There is also a referral route worth knowing about if you are staying: refer three people in a month and get a free month, with a $5 credit applied at your next billing (smodin.io/pricing, checked 16 August 2026).
One claim to read as a claim rather than a finding: Smodin's homepage advertises "99.8% Accuracy" for its AI Content Detector (smodin.io, checked 16 August 2026). That is the vendor's own published figure for its own product. It is not the output of any shared public benchmark, so it cannot be lined up against a number from a different company, including ours. We do not publish an accuracy percentage at all, for the same reason.

Stay on Smodin if you write in more than one language, or if you genuinely use three or more of its tools most months. The bundle is doing real work at that point.
Move to Netus AI if you want a suite with a permanently free tier to fall back on. Its $0 plan lists 50 credits per month plus "AI Detector - unlimited usage" (netus.ai/pricing, checked 16 August 2026). Understand the credit conversion before committing: one credit is ten rewritten words, and a long SEO article costs 260 credits from the same pool (same page and date).
Move to Monica if the part of Smodin you leaned on was the AI Chat, and detection was incidental. Monica is a general assistant with a browser extension, desktop and mobile apps, PDF tools, image tools and access to many models, and its AI detector is one entry in a long tool list (monica.im, checked 16 August 2026). Be aware that its detector page limits input to 250 words per check and that it describes its detector as combining three third-party engines, GPTZero, Copyleaks and ZeroGPT (monica.im/tools/ai-content-detector, checked 16 August 2026).
Move to GPTinf if the humanizer was the only tool you opened and you kept hitting output limits. Unlimited rewriting is $29.99 per month on its yearly toggle (www.gptinf.com/pricing, checked 16 August 2026).
Move to Isgen if you need multilingual detection specifically, at volume. Its Academic tier at $8 per month billed annually publishes 350,000 detection words, phrase-level analysis, 100 bulk scans and a 60,000 character ceiling per scan (isgen.ai/pricing, checked 16 August 2026). Check the tier table before buying: its $15 Writing tier marks both the AI Detector and Plagiarism Checker as "No" (same page and date).
Move to TextSight only if you are deliberately unbundling and detection is the piece you care about. We will not pretend to be a suite. We do not write articles, we do not translate, we do not check plagiarism, and we do not run a chat assistant. What we do: score English text, show which sentences drove the score from Starter upward, export a PDF report from Starter upward, take file uploads, URL scans and bulk scans, and expose a REST API from Pro upward. Business adds teams and branded reports. If you replace Smodin with us alone, plan for the gaps.
